Andrew Silver | Much Law

Andrew is a corporate attorney who represents private equity firms and privately held businesses, with deep experience advising entrepreneurial and multigenerational family-owned enterprises. Owners, investors, and C-suite executives rely on Andrew to handle complex transactions for both buyers and sellers as well as serve as outside general counsel for businesses of all sizes.

Andrew’s practice spans many industries, including private equity, distribution and manufacturing, investment banking and financial services, waste management, pharmaceuticals, landscaping, dental services, pet wellness, sports and entertainment, technology and software services, and insurance services, as well as restaurant, spirit, and food services.

At Much, Andrew plays an important role in cultivating firm culture and preparing for the next generation of attorneys and clients. He works on strategic planning efforts, serves as a mentor for summer associates, and participates in client service initiatives.

On the counseling side of his practice, Andrew provides clients with strategic advice about business operations, corporate governance, joint ventures, management buyouts, syndications, commercial lending transactions, and executive compensation packages.

In his transactional work, Andrew guides clients through sophisticated mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, recapitalizations, generational transfers, partnership agreements, management buyouts, commercial lending transactions, equity and debt financings, and private placements. He provides comprehensive counsel on transaction structuring, tax planning, diligence, and the preparation of transaction documents. Andrew works with private equity funds to acquire portfolio companies, complete add-on acquisitions, handle day-to-day legal work for portfolio companies, and eventually sell those companies. Much More Than My Work

I serve on the board of directors of Keshet, a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that provides services for children and adults with disabilities.

I am also involved in the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago and the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
