Mollie O’Brien Joins Much’s Industry-Leading Construction Group

Much welcomes attorney Mollie O’Brien to the firm’s Chambers-ranked Construction group. O’Brien was formerly assistant general counsel at McHugh Enterprises Inc., one of the largest general contractors in the United States. She joins a team of attorneys recognized for their blend of legal knowledge and industry experience.

“Mollie is a versatile attorney who knows the ins and outs of the construction business firsthand,” said Scott Fradin and Josh Leavitt, co-chairs of Much’s Construction group. “Her in-house experience means she understands how legal decisions affect our clients in real time. She brings that practical insight to all types of work, from deals to disputes to insurance and beyond.”

At Much, O’Brien counsels the full spectrum of construction and design clients, including owners, developers, builders, architects, engineers, and contractors. She adds to the group’s established strengths in both transactions and litigation, and she offers another layer of insurance capabilities. Prior to joining McHugh Enterprises Inc., O’Brien worked for a top international insurer, developing insurance wordings and advising underwriters on coverage issues.

“Much stands out because of the depth and diversity of construction experience it brings to the table,” O’Brien said. “I could not find another firm that offers this combination of boutique-quality counsel and full-service platform.”

O’Brien is the latest addition to a group that boasts a licensed architect, a former law clerk to a mechanics lien judge, and another former general counsel. The team, led by Fradin and Leavitt, represents clients ranging from middle-market leaders to Fortune 500 companies, ENR-ranked contractors and design firms, and billion-dollar real estate developers with global projects.
