Marc utilizes his broad business and legal experience to represent clients in corporate, real estate, and construction matters. His practice focuses on a range of transactions, from real estate deals to financial and lending agreements. Marc advises clients on corporate formation and governance, consulting services, product sales and distribution, contract packing and contract manufacturing, and the sale and licensing of online services.

Marc has 25+ years of legal experience in the construction space, which began with representing clients in mechanics lien litigation and grew to advising owners, contractors, architects, and engineers on industry-specific projects. He guides his clients through construction, design services, and EPC project agreements, with a particular focus on the use of the American Institute of Architects construction, design-build, and design contract sets. Over the course of Marc’s career, he has worked on high-rise offices, residential buildings, co-op and hotel projects, parking garages, industrial buildings and warehouses, museums and theaters, universities, tenant buildouts for offices, restaurants and stores, high-end residences, and process, manufacturing, and chemical plants.

Marc also uses his deep corporate experience to advise contractors and design firms in the formation of construction services joint ventures for large public projects, including the preparation and negotiation of joint venture agreements.  

Additionally, Marc is well-versed in the formation of private charitable foundations and has served as outside general counsel to the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago and its various affiliated charitable entities since 1995.

Much More Than My Work

When I am at home, I usually have my nose buried in a book. If I’m not reading, I’m probably working on DIY home improvement projects, out for a run, or watching a British crime procedural series on TV.
