Much recently welcomed three new attorneys: Jonathan Friedland joined the firm’s Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights group, and Jeremy Waitzman and Hajar Jouglaf joined the Corporate & Finance group.
Jonathan, Jeremy, and Hajar moved to Much from another Chicago law firm, where they worked closely together for five years. The team represents businesses throughout the country, handling restructuring and insolvency matters as well as M&A and other corporate transactions. In particular, Jonathan and Jeremy have deep experience in commercial litigation funding, representing private equity funds that buy a share of the potential recovery of a lawsuit from sophisticated plaintiffs and law firms seeking to hedge their risk in high-stakes litigation.
"Jonathan, Jeremy, and Hajar impressed us from the very beginning of our conversations,” said Co-Chairman Mitchell Roth. “They bring legal prowess and business savvy that will be immensely valuable to our clients, and they share our commitment to top-tier service."
The group counsels clients in many industries, including automotive, logistics, manufacturing, information technology, professional services, retail and hospitality, and more.
