Steve Stender Bio Image

Steve works with clients on real estate and general business transactions. His clients range from real estate companies, REITs and large banks, and other financial institutions, to distribution companies and restaurant enterprises. He also advises clients on long-term strategic planning, financial structures, and operating policies.

Earlier in his career, Steve spent six years as the in-house general counsel for a large real estate company where he was responsible for the company’s legal needs and long-term growth and management strategies. That dual role gave him a solid and practical framework for balancing the ramifications of legal decisions with other aspects of business operations. This experience is the basis for the legal and business advice he offers his clients today.

Steve speaks at various legal and philanthropic events around the Chicago area. He has authored two publications of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education: Annexations and Annexation Agreements, and Fire Protection Districts.
