Sean Wagner Joins Much Construction Team in Chicago

Much is pleased to announce that Sean Wagner has joined the firm's Chambers-ranked Construction practice. Sean brings extensive experience in all facets of construction litigation and transactions as he guides engineers, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other commercial entities through complex construction projects and dispute resolution.

“As our Construction group continues to grow, we are focused on adding smart, business savvy attorneys with deep industry experience. Sean fits perfectly into that model,” said Scott Fradin, co-chair of the Much Construction team. “Our clients will see Sean’s value firsthand as he develops and negotiates construction and design agreements for their most important projects. Should disputes arise, Sean’s ability to navigate complex litigation will be integral to protecting their interests.”

Sean brings years of experience leading parties through challenging situations, including breach of contract, delay and disruption claims, design and construction-defect claims, bond claims, and mechanics lien disputes, among others. He has litigated dozens of commercial matters on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Clients also rely on Sean to draft and negotiate complex construction agreements for projects of all shapes and sizes. Sean has drafted contracts for projects in excess of $50 million, and he has assisted clients in preparing contract documents before, during, and after project completion.

Sean began his career as general counsel for a Chicagoland general contractor, providing him with a firsthand perspective on both the business of construction as well as its legal issues. Prior to joining Much, Sean practiced for over nine years defending clients in construction and design disputes. He served as defense counsel in issues ranging from personal injury to insurance matters to complex construction defect and commercial litigation.
