Much Welcomes Jonathan Yank as New Principal in California

Much is pleased to announce that Jonathan D. Yank has joined the firm as a principal in the firm's Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation groups. With more than 20 years of experience, Jonathan represents clients in employment, commercial, and product liability litigation throughout California and in federal courts. He is based in San Francisco.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan to the team in California," said Glenn Taxman, who heads Much's Newport Beach office and is a member of the firm's Management Committee. "Jonathan brings a significant amount of experience to our clients in the state and beyond, and his nuanced knowledge of labor relations and commercial litigation enhances and strengthens the services and value we provide."

Jonathan has experience in all phases of labor contract negotiations and impact bargaining, including non-binding impasse procedures and binding interest arbitration. He is experienced in day-to-day labor relations and administration and enforcement of labor contracts, including "meet-and-confer" negotiations, contract arbitrations, representation issues, and unfair labor practice litigation.

Prior to joining Much, Jonathan was a Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco. There, he advised the city and its constituent boards, commissions, agencies, and departments on labor and employment matters, litigated employment disputes, and represented the city in union-management relations.

Jonathan holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from UC Hastings College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude
