National Law Journal Recognizes Dan Rosenberg as a Construction Law Trailblazer

Much is pleased to announce that Dan Rosenberg, a principal in the firm’s Chambers-ranked Construction practice, was named a 2022 Real Estate/Construction Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal.

Dan’s practice runs the gamut of construction issues, but Dan is known for his ability to work with labor unions to resolve disputes. Dan was recognized for fostering and helping redefine the developer-contractor-union relationship, educating many in the industry on labor and union issues and how a partnership model benefits everyone.

In The National Law Journal, Dan says, “The need for skilled labor in the construction industry is only growing, and trade unions seem poised to fill this need in many markets. Working cooperatively with such unions to fill labor needs is essential – crucial – for any construction company that wants to continue to grow, build and develop in many of the largest markets throughout the country.”

Dan is the second of Much’s Construction principals to be recognized on the publication’s annual list. In 2021, Josh Leavitt was selected for his work counseling construction industry participants about the risks of failing to adapt to climate change.

Dan joined Much earlier this year, bringing decades of experience and a valuable in-house perspective as former general counsel for McHugh Enterprises Inc. At McHugh, he handled billions of dollars in construction, design, and development contracts. He’s provided counsel on virtually all construction and real estate issues, from financings and transactions to federal and state compliance matters, labor negotiations, and litigation and dispute resolution. Dan’s also a frequent speaker and author on industry trends and breaking news, like the heavy machinery workers’ strike in Illinois.

The National Law Journal's Trailblazers list celebrates lawyers, chosen from hundreds of nominations, who are agents of change in their respective practice areas.
