Jason Rosenthal, chair of Much’s Commercial Litigation group, spoke with Cybersecurity Dive about increased scrutiny on cyber insurance policies. Rosenthal provided insight into how geopolitical pressures are impacting specific policies and what insureds can expect.
“The proliferation of global conflicts and the comparatively relative ease with which ‘war’ can now be conducted, including by unmatched drones, cyberattacks or otherwise, may cause a continued rise in efforts by insureds to exclude such losses,” Rosenthal said. “This will lead to a rise in premiums for insureds who try to purchase specific insurance for such events.”
