Dan Rosenberg Appointed President of Society of Illinois Construction Attorneys

Much is proud to announce that Dan Rosenberg, principal in the firm’s Construction group, has been appointed president of the Society of Illinois Construction Attorneys (SOICA). Rosenberg’s decades-long legal career positions him to lead the prestigious group of attorneys recognized for their skill, experience, and professional conduct in the practice of construction law.

Rosenberg is an accomplished attorney who offers clients a 360-degree view of the construction business, from financings and transactions, to federal and state compliance matters, to labor negotiations, to insurance coverage, to litigation and dispute resolution. Prior to joining Much, he served as senior vice president and general counsel for McHugh Enterprises Inc., one of the state’s largest general contractors.

“It is truly a privilege to lead this group of smart, trusted attorneys. For years, I’ve turned to SOICA members to exchange ideas and advice, and I look forward to continuing our tradition of knowledge sharing and good fellowship,” Rosenberg said. “It is a particular honor to be elected to a position that my colleagues Josh Leavitt and Scott Fradin held prior to me.”

Leavitt and Fradin, co-chairs of Much’s Construction group, served successful terms as president of SOICA from 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, respectively. Much is the only law firm in Illinois with three principals who have been elected to the role.

“Our team is incredibly proud of Dan for carrying on our legacy at SOICA. His deep experience and fantastic leadership will benefit the entire construction law community, just as they do here at Much,” Leavitt said.
