Neil Posner to Present at IICLE Workshop on “Practical & Ethical Handling of Insurance Issues”

Neil Posner, chair of the firm's Policyholders’ Insurance Coverage practice, will speak on the topic of “Independent Counsel and the Ethics of the Tripartite Relationship” at an upcoming insurance workshop presented by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE). The workshop, titled “Practical & Ethical Handling of Insurance Issues,” takes place on January 25, 2018 in Chicago. Neil will discuss when to consult independent defense counsel; the extent of the insurer’s obligation to pay for independent counsel and to control the defense; protecting client confidences; and the ethical issues that arise between the insurer, the insured and defense counsel.
