Steve Blonder Recognized as a Notable Nonprofit Board Leader in Crain’s Chicago Business

Much is pleased to announce that Steve Blonder, a principal and a member of the firm's Management Committee, has been named among the 2021 Notable Nonprofit Board Leaders by Crain's Chicago Business. The prestigious list includes 70 Chicago-area board members who have advanced the causes and raised the profiles of the organizations with which they work.

Steve serves as president of The ARK Chicago's board of directors. The ARK's mission is to help Chicagoland Jews who are facing adversity navigate toward self-reliance. ARK professionals, volunteers, and donors provide free, comprehensive services within a framework of Jewish values and laws. Steve was first elected to The ARK's Board in 2016. Prior to his role as president, Steve served as treasurer, vice president, and executive vice president.

Steve's profile in Crain’s highlights his leadership in strategic planning for The ARK, including a landmark renovation of its community center to enhance client services and oversight of the “ARK at 50” capital campaign. In 2021, nearly 2,700 clients have received $1.3 million in direct assistance from The ARK.

In addition to his work with The ARK, Steve also serves as vice chair of the Chicago Bar Foundation's Investing in Justice Campaign, a position he has held since 2010. Steve is also chair of Much Community, the firm's social responsibility initiative.
