She has successfully represented employers at the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Employment Security and the Illinois Department of Labor.

"We are excited to have Sheryl join the firm and enhance our depth, especially in labor and employment law, which is a growing area of demand for our clients," said Mitchell S. Roth, Chair of the Lateral Task Force at Much Shelist. "Our clients will benefit from Sheryl's vast experience and appreciate her dynamic personality. As a full-service firm, we also look forward to providing enhanced representation to Sheryl's existing client base."

Halpern added, "My goal is to provide clients with clear guidance on employment issues so they can focus on their business, rather than litigation. Much Shelist's client service focus makes it a place where I can continue to do this successfully, for the benefit of clients as well as the firm."

Halpern holds a J.D. degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
