Much Raises More Than $36,000 for Make-A-Wish Illinois

Much is proud to announce that our attorneys and staff raised more than $36,000 for the 2018 Make-A-Wish Illinois campaign, making the firm the top contributor in the state for the third year in a row. Our donation would not have been possible without the generosity and caring spirit of Much employees and an $18,000 challenge grant from client No Simple Highway, a donor-advised fund.

The firm has helped grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions for nine years in a row, collectively raising more than $150,000 for Make-A-Wish Illinois. In 2017, Much became a member of the organization's Chris Greicius Society of Hope, which is reserved for lifetime donors of $100,000 to $250,000.

"Philanthropy is an integral part of the culture at Much," said Steven Blonder, chair of the firm's Social Responsibility Committee. "Our support of Make-A-Wish Illinois is a particularly inspiring example of our commitment to helping others in our community."

Paul Austin, director of Information Services, leads the firm's Make-A-Wish fundraising initiatives in honor of his daughter, a childhood cancer survivor. This year, Paul's efforts and the firm's generosity directly benefited Zion, a Make-A-Wish teen who used his wish to take his family to Punta Cana. Zion picked the Dominican vacation as a way to thank his mother and siblings for their love and encouragement during his cancer surgeries and treatments.
