Much partnered with Back 2 School Illinois for our second Build-A-Kit community service event on September 5. More than 40 attendees, including attorneys, staff, clients and friends of the firm, assembled school supply kits and wrote inspirational notes for Chicago Public School students in need. This year's recipients were Lionel Hampton Fine & Performing Arts School and Francis M. McKay Elementary School.
Matthew Kurtzman, CEO of Back 2 School Illinois, kicked off the evening with an overview of the organization's mission before participants began building 300 kits, customized with school supplies for students in primary, elementary, and junior and senior high school. After the hard work concluded, guests networked over drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
