Much is excited to share it has completed its six-month, 50,000-square-foot office renovation at 191 North Wacker Drive. The firm has transformed two floors into a warm and modern space that highlights Much's collaborative and collegial culture and offers a more interactive and communication-focused work environment.
"Much has provided the highest quality of service for 50 years. Over that time, we have evolved to remain competitive and meet our clients' changing needs. That evolution is why we launched a new brand identity and why we invested the time and resources to completely reimagine our office," said Co-Chairman Mitchell Roth. "We want to tell our story of hard work, forward momentum and unwavering commitment to our clients and employees. It is important that our physical space reflects that."
The new office space, designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative, includes 125+ offices as well as 40 secretarial work stations, all outfitted with electronic standing desks and dual monitors. In addition to a large conference center, each corner of the office features a collaboration room with a touchscreen monitor, whiteboard and various seating options. There is also a state-of-the-art kitchen and a collaborative lounge known as the Much Hub. Finishes include glass walls that offer beautiful views of downtown Chicago and the river, a yoga studio, space-saving paperless initiatives, several designated quiet spaces and a catering kitchen to accommodate weekly luncheons and onsite events for the office's 100 attorneys.
"Every detail of our office renovation – from the furniture and lighting to the technology and hospitality offerings – was the result of a thoughtful collaboration intended to set us apart from more traditional law firms," said Chief Operating Officer Steve Schwartz, who led the renovation project. "We've created a space that fosters energy and enthusiasm among our attorneys and professional staff, which ultimately benefits the partnerships we have with our clients."
