Chicago Tribune Recognizes Much as a Top Workplace for the Eighth Year

Much is pleased to announce that the firm has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Chicago Tribune for the eighth time. Based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey, inclusion on this prestigious annual list serves as a testament to Much's outstanding workplace dynamic. This year's results highlight positive feedback on Much's collaborative culture and the meaningful opportunities fostering professional growth.

The anonymous survey administered by Energage, an employee engagement technology partner, measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution and connection. To be considered as a Top Workplace, an organization must have at least 100 employees in the Chicagoland area who not only enjoy their work, but fully embrace their organization's mission and feel they have adequate access to development opportunities.

"We are honored to be recognized in the Chicago Tribune's list of Top Workplaces, especially this year," said Co-Chairman Mitchell Roth. "2020 presented several challenges, especially shifting to entirely remote. The Much team has worked tirelessly to ensure our colleagues and clients continue to feel supported, appreciated and valued. Receiving this honor highlights and validates our firm's tremendous efforts and continued success."

Out of 140 award recipients, Much was one of only 3 law firms included in this year's list.

The following are anecdotes collected from Much attorneys and staff during this year's survey:

  • "I work on a team that relies on me as much as I rely on them. We work together to solve almost every problem and even when things seem overwhelming, we provide support for each other. My team members produce high-quality work for clients and attorneys at the firm, so I feel motivated to do the same."
  • "Firm leadership is genuinely dedicated to being independent and progressive. Things like renovating the office, providing a flexible working environment, prioritizing diversity and encouraging collaboration all contribute to our stand-out culture."
  • "I am given the tools I need to succeed. And the responsibilities they give me tell me that they trust me to handle important work, which is fulfilling."
  • "I feel valued and appreciated as a key member of the Much team. The firm feels like a family and I genuinely like everyone I work with at Much."
