Much Celebrates 50 Years of Tradition and Innovation

Much is proud to announce that 2020 marks the firm's 50th anniversary. Since 1970, Much has grown from two partners, Morrie Much and Michael Shelist, to nearly 100 attorneys.

The visionaries behind Much originally opened their doors on West Madison Street in downtown Chicago and sought to practice law differently, which contributed to the success of their clients. The partnership began when Morrie Much took ownership of an established real estate firm and asked Michael Shelist to handle his clients' estates and trusts. After realizing their approach to law shared similar strokes of insight, the two friends established the firm we know and love today.

"The expectation of excellence set by our founders back in 1970 laid the groundwork that has allowed our firm to provide the highest quality of service possible these past 50 years," said Co-Chairman Mitchell Roth. "Our attorneys are eager to continue moving forward with our earned reputation of talent and passion, and we proudly welcome what's in store for our firm for years to come."

Much will announce several commemorative activities throughout 2020. Attorneys and professional staff will spend the year honoring the firm's tradition of legal excellence and client service and celebrating the firm's commitment to innovation.
