Much is pleased to announce that principals Michael Zalay and Peter Shepard have been named leaders of the firm’s Corporate & Finance group. Zalay has been elevated from vice chair to chair, and Shepard has been named vice chair.
In his practice, Zalay advises clients on acquisitions and dispositions of businesses and real estate, corporate and LLC formation and governing documents, private placements, stock sale and asset purchase agreements, supplier and distribution agreements, professional services agreements, and commercial and retail licenses.
Shepard concentrates his work on representing private equity firms and highly acquisitive companies, providing strategic advice and guiding clients through business combinations, capital raises, and exit opportunities.
After many years of service, principal David Pilotto has stepped down as chair. He will continue his successful transactional practice at Much, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and outside general counsel representation of privately held companies.
