Matt Feery Comments on Legal Issues Surrounding White Supremacy in the Workplace

Matt Feery, associate in the firm's Labor & Employment practice group, was quoted in a National Law Journal article that examines whether being a white supremacist or holding other discriminatory views is grounds for an employee to be terminated. Matt’s analysis includes the following caveat: “Employers understandably may decide that the potential liability from termination may be outweighed by the practical effects of retaining the employee in question, especially with respect to employee morale, workplace harmony, and the employer's reputation.” Much Shelist and the National Law Journal story were also referenced in a related article in Business Insider.
