Jonathan

Jonathan is a principal in the firm's Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation groups. He represents clients in employment, commercial, and product liability litigation in California and federal courts. His experience spans class and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) collective actions, through trial and on appeal. He also litigates disputes in arbitration and before adjudicative administrative agencies, including employee discipline and termination cases.

Jonathan works with clients through all phases of labor contract negotiations and impact bargaining, including non-binding impasse procedures and binding interest arbitration. He is experienced in day-to-day labor relations and administration and enforcement of labor contracts, including "meet-and-confer" negotiations, contract arbitrations, representation issues, and unfair labor practice litigation.

Prior to joining Much, Jonathan was a Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco. In that role, he advised the city and its constituent boards, commissions, agencies, and departments on labor and employment matters, litigated employment disputes, and represented the city in union-management relations.
