Much Announces Attorney Promotions in Chicago

Much is pleased to announce the promotion of four attorneys across various practice groups.

  • Juli Dreifuss was elevated from associate to special counsel in the Estate Planning & Wealth Transfer group.
  • Matthew Feery was elevated from associate to income principal in the Labor & Employment group.
  • Luke Harriman was elevated from associate to income principal in the Estate Planning & Wealth Transfer group.
  • Peter Shepard was elevated from associate to income principal in the Corporate & Finance group.

Juli counsels clients on tax planning and the integration of estate plans and corporate structures, with an eye toward transferring wealth and business interests in a tax-efficient manner. Keeping their objectives in mind, Juli advises clients on developing strategies using gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.

Matt helps employers of all sizes support their business goals by developing best practices, strategies and solutions in compliance with labor and employment laws. In addition to his counseling practice, Matt represents and defends employers in litigation in numerous settings, including state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

Luke advises individuals and families on estate planning matters, helping clients protect and provide for their loved ones. He also formulates sophisticated estate tax and income tax strategies for high-net-worth individuals. Luke combines an approachable demeanor with a nuanced understanding of probate proceedings and trust administration, utilizing methods such as non-judicial settlement agreements and trust decanting to achieve resolution.

Peter focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions. He provides outside general counsel services for private and public companies, entrepreneurs and private equity firms, regularly representing clients looking to expand their businesses. In this role, he provides strategic advice, guiding his clients through business combinations, capital raises and exit opportunities.
