Sheryl Halpern Discusses Worker Classification in the Gig Economy

Sheryl Halpern, chair of the firm's Labor & Employment group, was featured in an article for SHRM about how the gig economy has complicated worker classification issues. She noted that before classifying an individual as an independent contractor, a business should look at the factors considered by each government agency as well as court decisions in the venue where the worker is located.
