Sheryl Halpern, chair in the firm's Labor & Employment practice, was recently quoted in an article published by InOut Labs regarding drug testing in the workplace. With the legalization of recreational marijuana coming to Illinois on January 1, 2020, employers need to understand what they can and can't do with marijuana testing. Sheryl stated that certain employers can implement "reasonable zero tolerance" policies, but that those policies should be enforced reasonably.
