Scott helps businesses, banks, and institutional lenders negotiate, document, and close the full range of real estate development, financing, purchase, and sale transactions. Scott also represents lenders in complex loan workouts, restructurings, deed-in-lieu of foreclosure transactions, and other matters involving distressed assets. In addition, Scott provides legal assistance to owners of and lenders to nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Scott regularly represents clients throughout the United States in projects involving health care facilities, apartment buildings, condominiums, mixed-use developments, hotels, shopping centers, and office buildings. He provides counsel on syndicated construction mortgage and mezzanine financing transactions, bond and bond-related credit enhancements, and related forms of real estate financing. To help clients address ongoing legal and business issues, Scott also provides general legal counsel on day-to-day corporate and tax matters, including business formations, joint ventures, and 1031 exchanges, as well as purchases, sales, and mergers.

Scott provides legal assistance in connection with the purchase, sale, leasing, and financing of nursing home facilities throughout the country.

Scott previously served as the court-appointed arbitrator in the disposition of claims that were part of the $500 million settlement relating to allegations of securities violations brought against Prudential Securities.

I support a variety of philanthropic causes and previously served on the board of the Jewish Vocational Services and the Lymphoma Golf Outing Executive Committee.

I am an avid golfer and love spending time with my wife and two daughters.
