
Overview
Michael is an experienced transactional lawyer who advises owners, developers, builders, borrowers, lenders, landlords and tenants in a full spectrum of complex commercial real estate transactions. He also serves as a legal and business counselor in a wide range of corporate, partnership and general commercial matters.
Michael is a past Chair of the firm’s Real Estate practice group and a former member of the Management Committee.
While in law school, Michael was Executive Editor of the DePaul Law Review and authored and co-authored several articles published in that journal. He is also a former instructor in legal drafting at the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Before beginning his career in law, Michael spent three years as a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse.

Community
Michael has been involved in various community and civic activities, and is currently a volunteer for Lawyers in the Classroom, a joint program of the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago and the Chicago Public Schools. Michael provides pro bono legal representation through the JUF Community Legal Services Program.
