Madison C. Schmid
Madison counsels clients on corporate law matters. She drafts and reviews contracts, including separation, partnership agreements and other documents for a variety of sophisticated transactions. Madison has conducted in-depth research in tax, corporate, intellectual property and employment issues. She also advises on tax law issues, from handling complex multistate returns and identifying potential refunds to creating tax-efficient business structures and drafting forms and documents.
While in law school, Madison was a member of Chicago-Kent College of Law's Corporate Law Society and served as associate editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property.
Madison is a participant in Much's apprentice program for forward-thinking, entrepreneurial attorneys. The one-year program allows attorneys to gain experience in diverse areas of law, while supplementing their traditional client billable practice with extensive training, mentoring, pro bono work and shadowing.
