Katherine Bonk Lewis
Co-chair of the firm's Business & Finance group, Katherine counsels family-owned and midsize businesses in a wide range of industries—including technology, retail, manufacturing and health care. She focuses on the numerous legal and business issues that arise in the context of corporate transactions and investments. Katherine represents acquirers and target businesses in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, stock and asset purchases and sales, and contributions. She also counsels entrepreneurs, startups and established companies on business formation, corporate governance, private equity investments and the negotiation of commercial agreements.

In addition to her transactional work, Katherine works with attorneys in the firm’s environmental, health care and intellectual property practices to identify and resolve issues that arise during the due diligence process. She also counsels clients on day-to-day corporate and legal issues. Among recent matters, she has helped clients draft numerous professional services, software development and supply agreements.
Katherine has authored and co-authored numerous advisories and bulletins on corporate and transactional issues, federal and state securities laws and regulations, as well as NYSE and NASDAQ exchange requirements.
While in law school, she was a Harno Scholar and served as Notes and Comments Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. Katherine is fluent in conversational Spanish.
