Dan Rosenberg, principal in Much’s Construction group, and Rob Glantz, principal in Much’s Restructuring, Insolvency & Special Situations group, will host a seminar with Chicagoland Associated General Contractors at the firm’s Chicago office on April 10.
Rosenberg and Glantz will lead a program on the effects of financial distress and bankruptcy in the construction industry. With the continuation of high interest rates, more companies and projects in the construction industry are facing financial distress and in extreme cases, even bankruptcy. It is important for construction companies, whether a general contractor or trade contractor, to understand their rights and obligations in such situations. Bankruptcy by an owner, supplier, specialty contractor, or general contractor in particular has dramatic and not always intuitive effects on your rights when dealing with a bankrupt party.
