AT WORK
Myles A. Cochran focuses his practice on commercial real estate matters. He represents buyers, sellers and developers in a range of land and property transactions, including sales, acquisitions, conversions and financing. He also helps clients address land-use, zoning, contractual and tax issues, and assists landlords and tenants in negotiating a variety of commercial, retail and office leases.
In his corporate practice, Myles advises clients in the formation of business entities, including the drafting of articles, operating agreements, partnership agreements, by-laws, and other organizational and transactional documents. He also represents buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and advises parties to corporate and limited liability company reorganizations.
IN THE PROFESSION
Myles is a member of the American Bar Association (Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions) and Young Professionals of Chicago. While in law school, he was inducted into the Iron Arrow Honor Society and served as Co-Vice Chair of the Law School Orientation Committee.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Myles enjoys offering his time and energy on behalf of at-risk youth. At the University of Miami, he was an active project leader in H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Through Pro Bono Efforts), served as an intern for the Children & Youth Law Clinic and received the Vice President’s Award for Service.
