Colleen E. McManus is an experienced bankruptcy attorney and litigator. She regularly represents creditors, creditors’ committees, trustees and debtors-in-possession in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, as well as out-of-court restructurings and disputes. Colleen has particular experience advising developers, lenders, landlords, franchisors and other creditors on issues related to bankruptcy and troubled companies.
Colleen also has significant trial and written advocacy experience in commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, business torts, fraudulent transfers and claims objections. In addition to her first-chair trial experience, she brings depth in motion practice, summary judgment briefings, negotiations, oral arguments, contested hearings, depositions and trial preparations.
IN THE PROFESSION
Colleen has contributed to a range of bankruptcy-related legal and industry journals. Before joining Much Shelist, she was named National Senior Associate (2006) by her previous firm for her achievements in providing pro bono legal services.
