AT WORK
Andrea E. Forsyth represents clients in a range of commercial disputes in state and federal courts, including in tort, labor, employment and corporate matters, as well as in criminal investigations and law enforcement proceedings. She also represents clients in arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Andrea has significant experience before the Illinois Appellate Court, the First District and the Illinois Supreme Court. As an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office (Criminal Appeals Division), she oversaw more than 40 appeals on a number of constitutional and criminal issues. Many of these cases involved complex Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendment issues and Crawford challenges to various Illinois hearsay exceptions.

IN THE PROFESSION
While in law school, Andrea served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Blanche Manning, Northern District of Illinois, providing research assistance and helping write judicial opinions on a variety of cases involving securities, corporate and criminal law. She also served as a Law Clerk in the Antitrust Division of the Michigan Office of the Attorney General.
Andrea is a member of the Order of the Coif.
